How to Make Glass Texture in Photoshop [4 steps]

In this photoshop tutorial i am going to show how to make glass texture in photoshop.

Let’s get started !

Open the Image

First of all, open your image on photoshop and make a copy of the image (Shortcut-Ctrl+J) 

Add the Blur Effect

Now you have to add a blur effect to the copied image.

Goto Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur

Popup window will be open.Adjust the blur radius by moving the slider and click OK

Add Glass Filter

In this step we are going to add a glass filter to the image.

Goto Filter>Filter gallery

Filter gallery will be open and choose the glass filter in the Distort folder.

Keep the values shown in the image to get a similar effect and click OK.

Clipping Mask

Finally,you have to add a rectangle (Any shape you like)  using the rectangle tool and keep between two image layers.

Select blurred image and goto Layer>Create Clipping Mask

To get more highlights add drop shadow to the rectangle.

Double Click  on rectangle layer>Select Drop shadow
