How to Download Facebook Messenger Conversations

Step 1: Go to the facebook app and tap on hamburger menu in top right corner 

Step 2: Scroll down and tap ‘Setting and Privacy ‘ and drop menu will open and select ‘Settings’

Step 3: Scroll down and and tap ‘Download your Information’ 

Step 4: The list will show everything you can download from your Facebook history.Deselect other history options except messages.

Step5: Scroll down select date range,File format and media quality and tap Create file

Step 6: Your file will be available in the copies tab ( It may take a few minutes to create a file and facebook will notify you after the file is created). Tap the Download file and it will download as a zip file in your mobile.

How to Download Facebook Messenger Conversations in PC

Step 1: Go to facbook.com and log into your account and press down arrow icon in top right corner

Step 2:Click on Settings & Privacy>Settings and settings page will open

Step 3: Click on  ‘Your facebook information’

Step 4:  Press view button on ‘Download your information’ option 

Step 5: The list will show everything you can download from your Facebook history.Deselect other history options except messages.

Step 6: Scroll up select Date range,File format and media quality.(Select the file format as HTML)

Step 7: Select ‘Create file’ button and your created file will display on the Available copies tab.It takes few minutes to create file to enable Download button.

Step 8: Click on the ‘Download’ button and type password. it will download as a .Zip file on your computer.
